Affilorama is an affiliate marketing training website that offers free and paid memberships to anyone interested in learning this subject.The lessons are presented in text and video formats.
Affilorama appears to be a program that is suitable for anyone wanting to learn Internet Marketing, regardless of their experience level, but with a very large budget to spend on this program in order to access the more advanced features. I joined as a free member recently to see what they had to offer, and to make sure that I was providing my readers with enough information so that they can decide whether or not Affilorama fits their needs.
The lessons available to free members are divided into 8 sections, with all but the last one divided into 5 sub-sections. The sections cover:
* Essential Resources.
* Market Research.
* Content Creation.
* Site Building.
* Marketing Ideas.
* Search Engine Optimization.
* Affiliate Outsourcing.
Each lesson is presented in a video and text format, and the video narrator is basically speaking out loud what is in the text portion below the video.
As a free member you have access to a total of 38 lessons, the websites’ blog,which appears to be written and posted by the members, and you also have access to the websites forum. There is no live chat available. As far as the lessons are concerned, I would say that they provide adequate information, the videos are good quality, and you have the forum available if you have any questions. If you are on a tight budget, the Affilorama free membership is actually not a bad deal.
As a free member you will also be able to watch several webinars that are sent to your e-mail address. These webinars are actually geared towards promoting the products that Affilorama sells as upgrades to its’ members. The main issue I would have with these other products is the price, some of which I have listed at the top of this page.
So in order to gain access to the other training and tools, you have to not only upgrade to Premium, you have to spend hundreds of dollars on other tools that I feel should be included in a Premium membership.
Here are the other tools you would need to buy to further your progress at Affilorama.
The support available to members consists of a phone number that you can call between 6 AM and 2 PM Eastern Daylight Time, which I found odd. Why not a 24 hour hotline if you are going to have live calls available ? You can also use e-mail to get help, and you also have the members forum available. The response time on the forum could be a couple of hours or a few days.
It’s free to start at Affilorama, it will cost you $67 a month to upgrade to a Premium membership, and as I have already mentioned , if you want to further your progress on the website you need to spend over a thousand dollars on AffiloBlueprint and AffiloJetpack.
They also offer a package called 100K Factory Revolution VIP Edition that costs $2,497, which the owners promote on the webinars that are emailed to you once you sign on as a new member.
Affilorama is a legitimate source of training for anyone willing to pay the expensive prices for Premium membership and the associated upgrades.If you have the money to spend, then this program is for you.
The best way to create a successful and unique website is by using your own original content. One of the methods used at Affilorama that I would not recommend is the use of Private Label Rights content.Everyone has an opinion on the subject, and my opinion is to just write your own content.PLR content is material that you buy, then you use it any way you want to, maybe even re-writing it slightly to make it seem different from the original content; remember that the content you bought was also bought by a thousand other people, so if you have to re-write something anyway to try to stand out from the crowd, just stick to writing your own material.
Another thing that you should keep in mind about Affilorama is that they will sometimes promote other expensive programs in their email campaigns,instead of having an all-in-one type of program.
I have heard of Affilorama and I found it was just too expensive for me. Also, it seemed a little complicated not being very technical. I have found that Wealthy Affiliate is the best place as everything is explained in such a way that anyone and I mean anyone can learn. Thank you so much for the in-depth review, Tomas. It is so important to have reviews done like yours that are not biased. Kudos for that.
Thank you for your comment MsMerry. It’s important to me to be as unbiased as I can with these reviews because in the end, it is up to my readers to decide for themselves what is best for them.
Hi Tomas, thanks for the great review of Affilorama. It’s good to know that they offer a free starter membership and also the first 30 days trial premium membership only for $1. Although $67 per month afterwards, that’s a lot of money to spend and I don’t think I can afford it…
It’s interesting to know about Private Label Rights content that Affilorama recommends. I wonder why…because it’s easier than writing your own material? I understand that you recommend to always write with your own words. Thank you.
Thanks for the comment Ray. Yes, it is easier to use PLR material, but to get better search engine ranking it is always a good choice to use original content. I understand that some people find it difficult to write, so what I suggest is to just write your material as if you were speaking to someone in person.
Excellent review of Affilorama. I think this is a good product, but like you said I prefer to have a product that is all in one. I don’t like to manage too many products or subscriptions. It’s just easier this way. I don’t understand why the upsells, but it doesn’t make it a bad program. I will surely be checking out Wealthy Affiliate.
How much do they sell the private label right content for? It seems as it would be better to just purchase content from a source like Fiverr right?
I have never purchased PLR material because I have not needed it, so I honestly could not tell you how much it costs.If anyone feels that they would prefer to use such material for whatever reason, I would suggest that they do their own thorough research regarding the source. In the case of Affilorama,they recommend their own sources for their members to use,and the member assumes the responsibility for where and how it is used.
Thanks for your comment and your questions Jonathan.All the best to you.
I did try Affilorama for a while a few years ago, While it did have some good training I didn’t think it was a great program.
Like you said they have a lot of PLR products but this is just re-hashed information products that many people have used before you.
I agree that writing your own content on a subject you are passionate about is the best way to go, and the price for affilorama is a big downside.
